Current focus: Bridging Gaussian-Splatting scene reconstruction with closed-loop policy evaluation.
Background
PhD MIT CSAIL 2014, advised by Antonio Torralba; thesis on multi-view scene understanding from urban driving sequences. Postdoc with Andreas Geiger at MPI-IS (2014–2016) contributing to the KITTI-360 dataset. Senior Research Scientist at Waymo Perception (2016–2023) leading the multi-camera BEV fusion stack shipped on the 5th-gen Driver. Joined Blueberry Lab as founding director to bridge academic research and production AD perception.
